Today is the 9Th of June. This is my homework for inquiry.
You have to fill in all of this info and then at the end it will tell you how many Earths we will need if you keep living like this. This is what it said for me.
Estimate of your ecological footprint: About 4 hectares.
Average footprint for all Australians: About 10 hectare.
Average footprint for all people in the world: About 2.5 hectares
If everyone living today had an ecological footprint of 4 hectares.... and if 15% of all productive land and sea were reserved for other species it would take 2 earths to provide all the natural resources needed.
The total productive land and sea on the planet is about 13 billion hectares.
How many hectares of land and sea do you think should be left as nature reserves to preserve?biodiversity?
