Here I will show you what I do in School Events

Drama

Every Friday my class 4/5R does Drama. Drama is my favourite thing at school because you get

to take your shoes off, get to read a book every lesson and then act the book out.

I think that basically every one in our class is good at drama because it is easy and fun. When we

act the book out we hop into groups of about 5-6. Most of the time we get to chose but when the

boys be rood and crazy they are the start of the groups.

Saftey House

Every Monday we 4/5R have safety house.

Two girls Brittany and cocco from grade 6 come to teach us about safety.

Sometimes they bring Ima which is the safety house symbol.

All of the time they test us on the three question.

They are:

1. Do my parents know where I am

2. Can I get help if I need it

3. Do I feel safe with this person

I like safety house because I feel safe and happy.

Myst Art

In class we where doing art from Myst.

If you don't know what Myst is it is a PC game that we play n class to help us write.

We got to choose something from Myst to draw.

I chose to do Cogs, Library and some trees.

I think that mine turned out good because of the background.

The others where really good to because of what they chose.

Melbourne Cup

On Tuesday the 3Rd it was Melbourne Cup.

That is when Horses and people race at 2:00pm.

It goes on for about 300 seconds so not long at all.

The girls in our class went down to 2M to help there girls to make Melbourne cup hats.

Selina and I(Claudia) had to do two people because one of the girls where reading.

Then we had to go up to our class and do our tie.

We did not have much time because we had to do two people and the rest of the girls only did one.

Then after break most of the school watched the race.

The horse I picked out of the hat is called Roman Emperor.

It was coming second the whole time.

But then I didn't come second.

I am not sure what it came.

Cops and Kilts

On Monday the 12Th of October at our school we had Cops and kilts come.

It was the first time I had seen a bag pipe close up.

It wasn't just people that came it was.......

Talented police.

They had heaps of instruments.

They where bag pipes, the bass drum,didgeridoo and the bass guitar.

They played lost of happy and nice songs.

One of them was Bob the Builder

That one the preps loved because it was a song the suited them.

Tashi

On the last day of term 3 all of the 4/5's did a Tashi performance and the little classes watched.





It was really good because everyone got a job.





I got the part of being one of 5 wives.






It was fun because we got to dress up.





One thing we got to do was make our hair messy.





That was easy for me because I have curly hair so I didn't have to do much.

My favourite bit was dressing up because of my hair.

Camp Goodenough

On the 29Th to the 30Th of October all of the 4/5's went on camp.
We went to Camp Goodenough in NSW.
NSW means NEW SOUTH WALES.
We traveled by bus to to get there and back.


We got put into 8 group.
6 teachers, 1 Mum and 1 Dad went with us all because they where nice to offer to help.
The teachers names are Mr D, Mr H, Mrs R, Mrs S, Mrs A and Mrs AR.
They where the teachers.
The nice helpers where Mrs T and Mr M.
I was in Mrs A's group.


We all got put in to two cabins but the boys got 3 because they only had 11 people in each.
I was in cabin two and I think it was the noisiest because people where up all night talking.


When we had breakfast, lunch and dinner first we had to wash our hands and then after we ate
we had to wash our plates two times.


We played heaps of games.
They where Flying fox, Carpet games, music games and some more.


On Friday my group went on the flying fox.
I was scared because I don't really like heights.
Then I went on and I had heaps of fun.


The whole point of going was to make new friends, team work and to challenge yourself.


We did a talent show and it was my favourite bit because there where heaps of good acts.


We also did a trivia night but I did not like it because most of the questions where hard.
My least favourite was the trivia because it was a bit hard.

I did a picture trail to show you somethings we did.

Plastic bag's

Guess what everyone?

I was reading 45rworkingstars blog and there is a plastic bags challenge.

My teacher Mrs R has registered our class to do it.

What you have to do is collect all of the plastic bags you have and take them to your closest

COLOES shop to be recycled!

I think that it is a good idea because you are helping our world.

Ice Cream

On the 18th of September 2009 our school is having an Ice Cream Day.

A plain Ice Cream is $1 and an Ice Cream with 100-1000's are $1.50.

I will get the one that coats $1.50 because that is my favourite.

I think that it is a good idea because if it is a hot day it will cool people down.

Disco

On the first week back of term 4 the 6/7's are holding a disco for Socktober.

Socktober is when you raise sock for the pore people.

To get into the disco you have to bring in 1 pair of sock and $2.

I hope they have a disco ball there because they go well at night.

If I go the time I will be there will be at 7:30-8:30.

It's going to be fun.

BOOK WEEK

ON WEDNESDAY THE 26TH OF AUGUST OUR SCHOOL HAD BOOK WEEK.

THE THEME WAS BOOK SAFARI.

YOU GOT TO DRESS IN A JUNGLE ANIMAL OR YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK CHARACTER.

I DRESS AS JAMIE KELLY FROM DEAR DUMB DAIRY BECAUSE I LIKE HER AND THAT IS MY FAVOURITE BOOK.

MOST OF THE SCHOOL DRESSED UP BUT SOME DIDN'T.

IN THE MORNING WE HAD A PARADE SO EVERYONE COULD TELL US WHAT THEY WERE.

IT WAS VERY FUN.

ART SHOW

TODAY IS MONDAY THE 19/7/09.
ALL OF S.J.V HAD A MORNING ASSEMBLY TO TELL US THE BAY ART WINNERS. THE WINNER FROM PREP TO YEAR 3 WAS FLYNN M AND THE WINNER FROM YEAR 4 TO 7 WAS ERIN H. THOSE TWO PEOPLE GOT A 40 DOLLAR GIFT VOUCHER. FOR THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT DID NOT WIN THEY GOT A STATIONARY PACK WITH A SKETCH BOOK, RUBBER, SHARPENER AND A SET ON PENCILS. I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT TIME.

4/5D's MAGIC SHOW

On the 25th of June all of the classes went and saw a magic show in 4/5d's room.
We all had a lot of fun going to that show because there was about 27-29 people to look at.

Saint Patrick's Day

On the 17Th of March was SAINT PATRICK'S DAY. We

had free dress day and asked to wear green.We had to bring

in a gold donation for caritas (minimum). Caritas is raising

money for Uganda. It was really fun because you got to see

most people wear green. On that day to me it was GREEN

DAY!

NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS READING

Today is NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS READING.

Sport

Every Friday 4/5R has sport. I love sport because you get to go to a sport carnival every year. This years carnival is on the 18/6/09. I am going to do the best so I can help my team win. I am in the red team.

W W W

Every Wednesday the whole school does this thing called W W W. That means Walking Wheeling Wednesday. All of the teachers have to fill out the W W W sheet that tells people how many people walked and so on. On Monday one class will win which means that a lot of people have walked but only a couple of people have gone in there own car.Then the class that Winne's gets the thing for a week.

Pyjama Day

Today the 1st of June which is the first of winter was PYJAMA day.

I dressed in my boxes and shirt. If you wanted to wear your pyjamas your had to bring Milo, coffee, tea or can food. I had to bring in 4 things and you also got to chose but my Mum said I have to bring in 4 things. So I bought in 2 can foods and 2 noodles. All of S.J.V have a pyjama day every year.

Bike ED

Today is the 1st of June and the 1st day of winter. Today was the second last day of bike ED. There are 6 times all of the 4/5's go to bike ed. 4/5H go at 9:00 -10:30, 4/5D go after them at 10:30 -12:00 and then it is my class 4/5R we go at 12:00-1:30. It is only the year 4 and 5's that get to do bike Ed and I think they picked only the year 4 and 5's because we are nice and we also help people which is very very nice. There are 2 colour bikes that they have at Bike ED and they are RED and BLUE . Here is a blue and red bike. I ride on a RED bike because i am little and the tall people go on the blue bikes. If you want to know then we get there by a bus. When it is time to go we hop in the bus and the PCYC teachers drive us all down to the PCYC center. On the last day of bike Ed all of the 4/5's have a bike ED TEST. I really want to do the test to see if i am a safe rider.
